Looking across #3 green at Heritage Heights Golf Course - Fall 2015

2020 LARGA President's Message

Message from the President; Soon we’ll dust off our clubs and hit those luscious green golf courses we have available to us. This year, you will notice a few changes on your schedules regarding courses we are playing. Please ask your Reps any questions you may have about this. It is your responsibility to reserve carts for your group from the course you will be playing next. Have someone in your group volunteer to set this up for the season. Since it is my responsibility with my foursome, I call the next course we are to play as soon as I get to the course I am playing this week. For instance, if we are playing at Camlachie this week and we will be at St.Clair next week, I will call St. Clair as soon as I am set to golf at Camlachie. This way my group knows it’s done and we are sure to get carts. That way it is not missed and everyone is happy. We are here to have fun, so let’s keep play moving at a reasonable pace. No one likes to have to wait 5 or 10 minutes for their next shot. Not saying you can’t look for that stray ball, but please keep it to a minimum. In deep water? Just call it as lost, take a drop and penalty stroke and play on. Welcome all new members to a very fun league. No one is a pro, we are all amateurs and like a day golfing with our buddies. If you haven’t a foursome when you start, I am sure after a week or two you will have one. Your Rep may be able to assist you with this. If not bring it to the attention of the Executive. Maybe there is someone else in the same boat. Alec Brander, President
